A young woman was rescued by local trekkers after a terrifying fall in Maharashtra.

Rupali Deshmukh, 29, from Myni village, was visiting Sajjangad and Thoseghar waterfalls with friends

when she fell into a 100-foot valley while taking a selfie at Borne Ghat.

Local trekkers, led by home guard Avinash Mande, descended with a rope to rescue Rupali, who was then quickly taken to the hospital.

Despite warnings from the Satara District Disaster Management Committee, tourists continue to visit dangerous spots, leading to such accidents.

Authorities urge tourists to avoid risky areas, especially during the monsoon season, to prevent such incidents.

Tourists are advised to prioritize safety over risky selfies and adhere to official guidelines to avoid accidents.
