The Brooklyn Bridge is an NYC icon, connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn since its opening on May 24, 1883. It's a must-see for tourists.

At the time of its completion, the Brooklyn Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world, with a main span of 1,595.5 feet.

The bridge's unique hybrid cable-stayed/suspension design combines strength and elegance, supported by its majestic neo-Gothic stone towers.

The bridge's construction began in 1870, led by John A. Roebling and later by his son, Washington Roebling, and daughter-in-law, Emily Warren Roebling.

The bridge has inspired countless artists, writers, and filmmakers, cementing its place in popular culture and NYC’s identity.

Beneath the Manhattan approach lies the Brooklyn Banks, a famous skate park that has become a cultural hub for NYC skaters.

The bridge has undergone several renovations over the years, including in the 1950s, 1980s, and 2010s, ensuring its lasting legacy.
