The horror-comedy film ‘Munjya’ continues to perform exceptionally well at the box office, even into its third week. On Sunday, the film grossed an impressive 7.20 crore, bringing its total gross collection to 103 crore.
Munjya’s Impressive Box Office Performance
In terms of net collection, ‘Munjya’ has amassed 87.31 crore to date. The overall occupancy rate for the film on Sunday was 33.01%, making it the sixth highest-grossing film of the year. This film has outperformed recent releases with larger star casts, such as ‘Shrikant,’ ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi,’ ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ and ‘Maidan.’
Third Weekend Earnings
Over the third weekend, ‘Munjya’ earned a total of 16.31 crore. Breaking down the weekend’s earnings, the film made 3.31 crore on Friday, 5.80 crore on Saturday, and 7.20 crore on Sunday. Previously, ‘Munjya’ had earned 36.50 crore in its first weekend and 34.50 crore in its second weekend.
Sustained Success Anticipated
Starring Sharvari, Abhay, and Mona Singh, ‘Munjya’ has benefited greatly from word-of-mouth publicity. Trade analysts had predicted its continued success into the third week, and the film did not disappoint, crossing the 100 crore mark in just 17 days.
It is expected that ‘Munjya’ will continue to perform well until the release of the multi-starrer film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ on June 27. This upcoming release might impact ‘Munjya’s’ box office collection.
