This film is based on the Italian movie Perfect Strangers (2016), which has inspired over 20 adaptations globally. In this version, Akshay Kumar’s character, Rishabh, a lively plastic surgeon, is determined to revive his second marriage to Vartika, a romance author played by Vaani Kapoor. She’s in desperate need of inspiration for her next book. Along for the ride are Samar (Aditya Seal) and his affluent wife Naina (Pragya Jaiswal), the dynamic duo Harpreet Singh and Harpreet Kaur (Ammy Virk and Taapsee Pannu), and the suave, Jeep-driving Kabir (Fardeen Khan).
The group gathers in Jaipur to celebrate Vartika’s sister’s wedding. To pass the time, they ditch the usual party games and come up with a daring idea: everyone’s phones will be unlocked for the night.
